If you are experiencing connectivity issues with EDNA while using Google Chrome, the cause may be related to a recent browser update. On October 28, 2025, Google released Chrome version 142, which introduced a new security setting titled "Local Network Access" under Privacy & Security. When this setting is not enabled, SimpleConsign may not be able to communicate with EDNA, preventing us from sending information to your printers.

As a result, you may encounter a persistent "Not Connected to EDNA" message, with ongoing but unsuccessful connection attempts.

To resolve this issue, please watch the tutorial video or follow the detailed instructions provided below.

If you're not using Google Chrome or these instructions do not solve your issue, please contact Customer Support and we can continue troubleshooting.

Settings

  • Tag Colors: You can now set default tag colors by location for all plans! Choose a color to stick with or schedule automatic changes whenever you like. This makes adding inventory quicker and lets you “set it and forget it.” Check it out under Settings → Tag Colors.

We’ve expanded the usage limit of our AI-Automated Item Entry feature on the Professional plan. The new limit is now 2,000 uses per location per month, up from the previous 500. For instruction on the feature please visit our support article about AI-Automated Item Entry.

Reminder: Windows 10 Support Ending – Upgrade to Windows 11

Microsoft previously ended support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, and support for Windows 10 will officially end on October 14, 2025. To ensure SimpleConsign continues to run smoothly and securely, we strongly recommend upgrading your devices to Windows 11 as soon as possible. Running SimpleConsign on unsupported operating systems may lead to compatibility issues, performance limitations, and increased security risks. For more details, visit Microsoft’s announcement here.

Payouts

  • Default Payout Type: We added the ability to set a default payout type per location so you can have even fewer clicks while completing your most important actions. Visit the Consignment section under Settings → Options to update your default as needed.

Consignor/Customer Profile:

  • Profile Slip: We updated the printable profile paper (say that 5 times fast) to include more information like Consignor ID, the user who printed it, and when! Check it out by hitting that print button at the bottom of each customer/consignor profile.
